Blyth Tait riding Reddy Teddy wins Individual Mixed Eventing Gold, Atlanta 1996

Blyth Tait riding the Chestnut thoroughbred Reddy Teddy claimed Olympic Gold in Atlanta. This performance was even more notable because Reddy Teddy was only eight years old at the time, a young age to be successful at elite level eventing.

The partnership the two formed, Tait said, was instant as Teddy was picked very young. Most rider-horse partnerships take a while as each gets used to the other. Keeping the same horse for a prolonged period was invaluable. After claiming the individual gold at Atlanta, Tait and Ready Teddy did not complete in the team event at Sydney four years later
